It is very sad and unfortunate some peoples intentionally criticized and  disrespect Islam and Muslims. Recent   ly anti-Islamic movie by Nakoula Basseley Nakoula in USA , the innocence of Muslims have been launched  to disrespect  Islam and Muslims. But nobody have to right to criticized others religions belief .Why some peoples are interested to criticized others religions belief? Religions stands for belief. If you belief or not belief in religion but you have no right to disrespect others religions belief and it is very necessary for happy peace healthy society in the world. It should be must avoid to criticized others religions belief. Some peoples like freedom of speech but it is not right to disrespect others religions belief. One persons freedom ends when another persons freedom begins.Freedom of speech should not hurting peoples.

one thing I want to say that we are from different religions ,country but we all are from civil society. everybody should have some duties and responsibility to maintain happy peaceful society and world. everything should have limitation and discipline is the most important to us for development and happy peaceful society. we should never allow such things that would be harmful for society. I respect freedom of speech but it should be some limitations for the interest of peaceful society. You never disrespect any others religions belief and never hurt the peoples emotion and this is not fair. one who disrespect and criticized the others religion are not definitely not from civil society. I request not to misuse freedom of speech and do needful for humankind.stop disrespect and stop violation.

CARNAGE AND THE MOTIVES: ANTI MUSLIM VIOLENCE AND ANTI SIKH MASSACRE

Ram Puniyani

Last few months (June 2012) Narendra Modi has been much in news for his spectacular rise in BJP hierarchy and his projection as the BJP nominee for the future Prime Minister. That there is blood on the hands of Modi, carnage of 2002 Gujarat, cannot be washed off with any amount of pouring the water of ‘myth of vibrant Gujarat’. Modi-BJP is also labeled as Fascist by many social scientists-activists. On many a political debates on TV or other forum, when such charges are labeled against Modi-BJP pat comes the reply, if Modi is fascist for Gujarat carnage, what about the Congress-the anti Sikh pogrom of 1984. Its true murder is a murder, inexcusable, irrespective of who does it. In that sense Congress is also guilty of letting Anti Sikh pogrom take place right under its nose, many of its cadres-leaders instigating the riot, while the police machinery at best looking the other way round.

But that’s just a part of the story. It’s at the level of political process that these carnages, Gujarat and Delhi, cannot be equated and have totally different politics at the back of it. There are carnages which are a part of deeper political processes, and there are other carnages which are accidental, revengeful and ‘one go’ affair, where political motives if at all are of temporary nature. The Delhi massacre falls in the second category.

On 30h January 1984, Indira Gandhi was walking in her compound to give an interview, and right there her Sikh bodyguards gunned her down. Indira Gandhi was advised to remove the Sikh body guards in the wake of operation Blue Star. In This operation by Indian army Golden Temple was attacked, to evacuate Khalistani militants hiding there. Mrs. Gandhi refused remove Sikhs from her team of body guards rhetorically asking, are we not secular? After her murder the atmosphere in Delhi got charged, the newly sworn Prime Minister was glum, being covered by the TV camera, while the massacre-anti Sikh pogrom started outside. Rajiv Gandhi at this point uttered that infamous sentence, ‘When a big tree falls, the Earth shakes’. This was a signal enough for the rioters, the elements from Congress, those shaken by Indira’s murder and lumpen-elements to go on with their job. Rajiv Gandhi visited the riot areas on third day, military was called and peace came in. The process of justice and reconciliation began, some semblance of rehabilitation came through, some semblance of justice began but still a number of those involved in the crime have not been punished. Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh both expressed regret, remorse in their own way. This was a ‘one go’ political madness in which Sikhs were targeted in the wake of the murder of Indira Gandhi. There was no deeper-long term political agenda. It was a sort of political insanity, momentary and tragic, painful and horrifying which tormented the Sikh community, a political accident so to say.

Gujarat is a different cup of tea. From the decade of 1990, with BJP government coming to power, all the wings of RSS combine, VHP, Bajrang Dal and their patriarch RSS came to full scale, unrestrained activity. RSS Chief Rajendra Singh declared that Gujarat is the ‘Laboratory of Hindu Rashtra’. Different villages of Gujarat started putting the hoarding outside their villages. ‘Welcome to so and so village of Hindu Rashtra’. Adivasi areas started seeing the intimidation of Christians; Muslim youth were attacked for inter-religious marriages. Meanwhile BJP was losing the grip on the electoral arena and in the forthcoming 2002 assembly elections; the fear was that BJP may lose. Here came the Godhra, Sabarmati train burning, 58 Kar Sevaks, innocents got burnt alive. The local administration said it is not pre planned act. Modi had his own calculations; he instantly declared that it is premeditated act by local Muslim in collaboration with the Pakistan’s ISI and International terrorism.

The burnt bodies of Kar Sevaks were taken in a procession on the instructions of Modi. VHP called for a Bandh and as per Citizens Tribunal report and the affidavit of Sanjiv Bhatt, Modi instructed the state administration to sit back and to let the Hindus vent their anger. Modi did not visit the riot affected areas for weeks, till another swayamsevak, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, gathered courage to visit the victims in Shah Alam camp and Modi accompanied him. The mayhem went on and on for months. Refugee camps run by the state were wound up, no rehabilitation, relief and remorse from the state machinery.

The polarization process in the state, the ghettotization of Muslims is more or less complete by now and Muslims have been relegated to second class citizenship in the state. While few affluent Muslim businessmen are turning to Modi for their survival, the average Muslims are living the life of all round neglect. Most of those who were alleged to be part of leading the mobs, got rewarded, re-elected, though some of them are cooling their heels in the jails under different charges. Gujarat carnage was one more, and most horrifying in the chain of anti Muslim violence which began from the Jabalpur one in 1961 and passing through the other horrific riots of Meerut Malyana, Bhagalpur, Bhivandi, Mumbai in all of which the anti Muslim one’s. The percentage of Muslim victims so has been 90%. In many of these the inquiry commissions have showed the role of organizations affiliated to RSS or its ideology of Hindu Rashtra.

The carnage of Gujarat is a part of the series of anti Muslim violence being spearheaded by the divisive ideology of religion based nationalism. In the same ‘ideological violence’ has come in anti Christian violence peaking in Kandhmal in August 2008.

The issue of Anti Sikh pogrom, equally condemnable has to be seen in a different light. While the anti Muslim and anti Christian violence is guided by the ideological agenda, the anti Sikh violence was a political accident taken advantage of by Congress. It passed off leaving bitter social realities. The anti Muslim-anti Christian violence is the part of slowly developing agenda of Hindu Rashtra, the goal of RSS in this country. This agenda of RSS has streaks of authoritarian ideologies. Social scientists look for analogies for analyzing social-political phenomenon. In case of Modi, who is part of the RSS agenda at political level, their inner differences notwithstanding, the carnage of Gujarat is an expression of Fascism, as politics of religion based nationalism. Like fascism it targets minorities (Jews were targeted in Germany). It asserts its supremacy as a race or religion and harps on the glorious past where the caste and gender hierarchies were the norms. Translated in contemporary times it means abolition of democracy, abolition of liberal space, looking down upon the plural ethos of the nation and turning to the social stratification of earlier times.

While Fascism word is used very often, what is it exactly? Is it a just a dictatorship or is it just massacre of minorities or is there something more to it? These two are the key ingredients of fascism. The other major pillar of fascism is an intimidation of weaker sections through street violence, abolition of democracy and the creation of hysteria around the infallible leader. Hitler was one such, who wanted nation based on German (Aryan Race), he persecuted the Jews and then Communists, He was glorified as the infallible leader, he usurped all the powers in his hands and did have an aggressive stance towards not only the ‘others’ in the country but also the ‘other nations. Hitler was also the favorite of big capitalists. Is any political leader on Indian political chess board close to these analogies?

(AIMMM ) INDIAN MUSLIMS’ MUSHAWARAT DELIBERATES ON NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ISSUES

The Milli Gazette

A major organization of Indian Muslims expresses its views on logistics of travel for Haj, rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pundits, treatment of Muslim prisoners, terrorism, rehabilitation of Muslims in Gujarat  and other issues.

New Delhi: The Working Committee of the All India Muslim Majlis-e Mushawarat held its meeting on July 7, 2012.

The meeting discussed a wide range of organisational, community, national and international issues. Particular attention was paid to the issue of random arrests to Muslim youths in the name of fighting terrorism. It was resolved to face this issue head on — on political and legal levels. The meeting okayed the preparation of a white paper on terrorism in order to put things in perspective and present a documented dossier to the authorities, media and human rights organisations at home and abroad about how Muslim youths are implicated and defamed in the name of fighting terror.

The meeting paid tributes important personalities of the community who passed away recently and passed the following resolutions:

Haj arrangements: The AIMMM recalls recent attempts to import ideas for Haj management, and notes that though Haj arrangements in India need massive improvement, course-correction and transparency, it will not be a good idea to privatise these arrangements since past experience has shown how fly-by-night operators have played havoc with the sentiments and resources of Indian Muslims in the name of Shariah-compliant schemes. The AIMMM feels that the Haj arrangements should remain in government hands with appropriate oversight and participation of Muslim community organisations. Moreover, allocation of Haj seats should be according to the Muslim population in each state.

Haj Subsidy: The AIMMM reiterates its previous stand that the Muslim community did not ask for Haj subsidy and would instead prefer more equitable Haj arrangements under which the pilgrims pay the normal airfare instead of the highly inflated fares charged by Air India and Saudi Airlines at present. Haj Committee should float international tenders to obtain realistic airfares for the pilgrims in accordance with IATA rules.

Resettlement of Pandits in J&K: While wholeheartedly supporting the idea of the return of the Kashmiri Pandits to their homeland, the AIMMM shares the apprehensions of a section of J&K leadership that resettling Kashmiri Pandits in segregated colonies will pose problems for the state in future. The displaced Pandits should be rehabilitated within their own historical habitats and within the general population of the state. Given the relations of some of Kashmiri Pandit organisations with extremist saffron outfits, it is justified to fear that secluded colonies will become hotbeds of saffron militancy and terror and a permanent source of friction in the state.

Militancy in J&K: J&K police chief Kuldip Khada said, while relinquishing his duties last month, that only 200 militants are active in J&K now. He said that out of them, 170 are active in the Valley and 30 are active in the Jammu region. He added that militant incidents too have come down drastically from thousands a year to a few hundreds in recent years and that the expected number of incidents for this year is under a hundred. In this situation, the AIMMM feels that there is no justification for keeping 700,000 soldiers in the Valley and maintaining the draconian APSPA law which is anti-democratic and anti-people. The AIMMM reiterates its demand that the army should be removed forthwith from all inhabited areas of J&K and relocated either to army camps or posted on the borders.

Muslims in jails: The AIMMM is alarmed at the survey report published by the Tata Institue of Social Sciences, conducted at the behest of the Maharashtra Minorities Commission, which exposed that 36% of jail inmates in Maharashtra are Muslims while the Muslim population in that state is only 10.6%. The AIMMM recalls that Sachar Committee too had gathered similar reports about the Muslim ratio in jail populations across the country but decided not to include these figures in its report on account of their sensitivity. AIMMM believes that such figures should be published and more research should be conducted/commissioned by the central and state minority commissions about this phenomenon which, prima facie, offers yet another clear proof of the bias and discrimination suffered by Muslims of India at the hands of state agencies, which is similar to what blacks are subjected to in the U.S.

Terrorism: The AIMMM believes that certain communal-minded elements in the Union Home Ministry, IB and ATS teams are implicating Indian Muslim boys in fake terror cases with a view to maintain pressure on the Muslim community and to marginalise it. At the same time, AIMMM is aghast to note that the investigations started in 2008 by late Hemant Karkare, the then Maharashtra ATS chief, have slackened, some leading persons of saffron outfits named by him in the Malegaon and Ajmer blasts chargesheets have not been interrogated and some of those arrested are being released on flimsy and technical grounds, that Sanatan Sanstha, recommended to be banned by Karkare, continues to function as usual and that arms training venues like Bhonsla Minlitary schools and Akanksha Resort have not been touched. Saffron militant organisations like Bajrang Dal, involved in a number of bomb blasts, are so emboldened now that they are holding open arms training camps. One such camp was held in the national capital in the middle of June this year. These facts smack of an anti-Muslim agenda at the highest levels. Parliament and secular political parties should pay an urgent attention to these dangerous indicators.

Muslims of Gujarat: The AIMMM takes note of Janvikas report which says that out of the 200,000 Muslims displaced during the 2002 pogroms, 16,000 are still languishing in 83 refugee camps across the state. This is a matter of shame for the state of Gujarat and Central government. The AIMMM sincerely believes that the scars of 2002 will never be healed unless and until the state government and its head show remorse, apologise for their acts of omission and commission, make good the losses suffered by Muslims during those pogroms and make it possible for them to move back to their homes, lands and businesses in dignity. Unless and until this takes place, any talk of Modi becoming prime minister of India is a cruel joke which will lower the status and dignity of India in the eyes of the international community.

Communal Riots: Communal riots, though never stopped in reality, are back again with their previous ferocity and one-sided murder, burning of victims alive, rape, destruction and torching of properties with Police inactivity and tacit support or at times even with active participation of men in uniform as seen in Gopalgarh and Rudrapur. Recent riots at Kosi Kalan and Pratapgarh show pre-planned attacks on Muslim localities with active encouragement of local politicians and passive approach of the police. It is a matter of shame for our secular polity that such barbaric attacks still take place six decades after Independence. AIMMM calls upon the state and central authorities to take due note of the assembling clouds ahead of the 2014 elections as these acts of criminal violence aim at the old game of communal polarisation ahead of elections.

4.5% fiasco, Mishra and Article 341: The AIMMM notes that the central government was never serious about its 4.5% reservation scheme for minority OBCs out of the OBC general quota. The hasty action was struck down by the A.P. High Court because the central government failed to defend it vigorously and the same scenario is now staring at us in the Supreme Court. The Central government should come out of its slumber and adopt the recommendations of the Mishra Commission in order to end this vexed issue once and for all. The AIMMM notes that the intention of the central government is not trustworthy is clear from its reluctance to file its reply to the Supreme Court’s query regarding the exclusion of Muslims and Christians of SC origin from the SC list by an executive order since 1950. The AIMMM calls upon the central government to file its reply at the earliest in order to show its commitment to the secular bases of our constitution and polity and end this shameful illegal discrimination for ever.

Egypt: The AIMMM welcomes the election of Prof. Muhammad Mursi as the first elected President of Egypt and felicitate him for the trust deposed in him by the Egyptian peole. The AIMMM also wishes Egypt to march on the road of freedom, self-reliance and real democracy. The AIMMM wishes Egypt to re-emerge as the leader of the Arab and Muslim world, a position it lost after the Camp David agreements with Israel.

ISLAM WANTS PEACE AND MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORISTS

Thursday 6 September 2012

ISLAM WANT PEACE

Here it is very common idea and easily used by some organisations ,peoples that Muslims are terrorists. It seems to very strange. Some media also regularly trying to established  to this fact.If a single Muslim involved  with crime or unlawful activity  then whole Muslims community should be blamed and targeted. If a non Muslims do any bad it will be crime but if a Muslim do any  bad it will be terrorism. If you love your religion then why not respect others religion. Islam never allow any crime or killing  any human. One who do that they are not Muslims or human.
ISLAM WANTS PEACE AND MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORISTS

MISCONCEPTION ABOUT ISLAM

Islam means peace and submission to one God and the belief that the sole purpose of our existence is to worship God.  This submission gives great inner peace and purpose to its followers.  Full acceptance of this, with the knowledge that every action one takes has a consequence in an eternal after life, has profound effects on one’s behaviour.

Islam is a complete way of life, but what does this actually mean?

Islam permeates every aspect of one’s life and being; how you conduct yourself at work, how you treat family and friends, even in the way you do business.  At the same time it allows for great variation in cultures across the world, personal growth and individual opinion.

The worship of God is not restricted to mosques alone but is in all aspects of life and work.  In this way advances in science, exploration, art and discovering the mysteries of the world, all done with the intention of understanding God and his creation, are all acts of worshiping him.  It was this philosophy that encouraged great Muslim scholars of the past to seek knowledge to improve the human condition.

The unifying belief in one God brings Muslims from all over the world together as one family. When a Muslim passes another Muslim in the street, they will greet each other with ‘Salaam-Peace.’

Take your time to browse through the following pages, which we hope will be thought provoking and informative.

Assalamu Alaikum Peace Be With You

Misconception 1
Jihad means holy war

In Arabic, the word jihad means to strive, struggle and exert effort. It is a central and broad Islamic concept that primarily means to struggle against evil inclinations within oneself.
Islam is not confined to the boundaries of the individual but extends to the welfare of society and humanity in general. An individual cannot keep improving himself/herself in isolation from what happens in their community or in the world at large. Hence it also means struggle to improve the quality of life in society and the struggle against injustice, oppression and tyranny.

The word 'Jihad' is generally misunderstood and consequently evokes strong reactions. It is a word frequently used in the press, directly or subtly, to mean holy war. In fact the term "holy war" was coined in Europe during the period of the Crusades.  It is an alien concept to the Islamic framework.  War is not 'holy.'

Misconception 2
Islamic Fundamentalism

In recent years, a great deal of attention in the media has been given to the threat of "Islamic Fundamentalism". Unfortunately, due to a twisted mixture of biased reporting in the media and the actions of some misguided Muslims, the word "Islam" has become almost synonymous with"terrorism". However, when one analyses the situation, the question that should come to mind is: Do the teachings of Islam encourage terrorism? The answer: Certainly not! Islam totally forbids the terrorist acts that are carried out by some misguided people.

Islam encourages peace, mercy and forgiveness. Killing innocent people totally contradicts the teachings of Islam.

Misconception 3
Islam was spread by the sword

Many non-Muslims, when they think about Islam, picture religious fanatics with a sword in one hand and a Qur'an in the other. This myth, which was made popular in Europe during the Crusades, is totally baseless. First of all, the Holy Qur'an clearly says "Let there be no compulsion in religion". In addition to this, Islam teaches that a person's faith must be pure and sincere, so it is certainly not something that can be forced on someone. Dissociating the myth that Islam was "spread by the sword", the (non-Muslim) historian De Lacy O' Leary wrote:"History makes it clear, however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myths that historians have ever accepted." (Islam at the Crossroads, London, 1923, p. 8).

Muslims ruled Spain for roughly 800 years. During this time, and up to when they were finally forced out, non-Muslims there were treated with the utmost of respect and had flourishing communities. Additionally, Christian and Jewish minorities have survived in the Muslim lands of the Middle East for centuries. Countries such as EgyptMoroccoPalestineLebanonSyria andJordan all have thriving Christian and/or Jewish populations.

Misconception 4
Islam is a religion only for Arabs

Less than 20% of the Muslim population is Arab. There are more Indonesian Muslims than Indian or Arab Muslims and it is a myth that all Muslims are Arabs. It should also be clarified that not all Arabs are Muslims. An Arab can be a Muslim, Christian, Jew, atheist - or of any other religion or ideology. Also, many countries that some people consider to be ‘Arab’ are not‘Arab’ at all - such as Turkey and Iran (Persia). The people who live in these countries speak languages other than Arabic as their native tongues and are of a different ethnic heritage than the Arabs.

Islam is meant for all people regardless of race, nationality or linguistic background. Taking a look at the Muslim World, from Nigeria to Bosnia and from Malaysia to Afghanistan is enough to prove that Islam is a universal message for all of mankind.

Misconception 5
Islam oppresses women

Numerous verses of the Qur'an make it clear that men and women are equal in the sight of God. According to the teachings of Islam, the only thing that distinguishes people in the sight of God is their level of righteousness. Many people are surprised to find out that Islamic Law guaranteed unprecedented rights to women over 1400 years ago.  For example, Islam jurisprudence clearly states that women have the right to vote, seek an education, own property, financial independence, operate a business and receive equal pay for equal work. The very same rights that were only granted to women in Europe and America recently.

The principal difference in the way these rights came about is also important. In the Europe rights became part of the law only after women had been through great political struggles. In Islam, rights were given by God through revelation. They cannot be reversed by anyone's decision.

If women in the Muslim World today don't have their rights and if a particular society oppresses women, it does so in spite of Islam, not because of it.

Misconception 6
Muslims do not believe in Jesus

Many people are surprised to find out that according to Muslim belief, Jesus, the son of Mary, is one of the greatest messengers of God. Muslims are taught to love Prophet Jesus (pbuh), and a person cannot be a Muslim without believing in the virgin birth and miracles of Jesus Christ, peace be upon him.

Misconception 7
Terrorism is supported in Islam

This misconception is one of the most widely held misconceptions about Islam today.
The Qur'an states;

"...Whoever kills an innocent soul it is as if he killed the whole of Mankind.  And whoever saves one, it is as if he saved the whole of Mankind..." (Surah Al Maidah, Chapter 5 Verse 32)

It is clearly Islamically unlawful to murder an innocent person.  Hence, if anyone kills an innocent person, they have committed a grave sin, and certainly the action cannot be claimed to have been done "in the name of Islam."

Misconception 8
Islam is intolerant of other religions

The Qur'an states;
"Those who believe in the Qur'an, and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians - any who believe in God and the last day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve." (Surah Al Baqarah, Chapter 2 Verse 62)

God has commanded Muslims in the Qur'an not to insult other faiths.  In fact Christians and Jews are given an honourable title in the Qur'an, 'the people of the Book.'

The Prophet of Allah (pbuh) said, "One who kills a non-Muslim person (under the guardianship of an Islamic state) will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise."

He also said, “Whoever hurts a non-Muslim person (under the guardianship of an Islamic state), I am his adversary, and I shall be an adversary to him on the Day of Resurrection

Misconception 9
Muslims worship Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Early researchers of Islam called it `Muhammadanism', implying in some way that Muslims worshipped the Messenger of God (pbuh). However, as was described elsewhere, a "Muslim" is "one who submits to God." The essence of Islam is pure, pure, pure monotheism. God says in the Qur'an:

"Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the One on whom all depend; He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him"  (Surah Al-Ikhlas, Chapter 112)

"Muhammad is no more than a messenger: many were the messengers that passed away before him. If he died or were slain, will you then turn back on your heels? If any did turn back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah; but Allah (on the other hand) will swiftly reward those who (serve Him) with gratitude. (Surah: Al Imran, Chapter 3 Verse 114)
ISLAM WANTS PEACE AND MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORISTS
